Anyhow, most pro sound engineers know the correct and well-established procedure to mic a Leslie through the FoH. With correct mic placement you can absolutely capture the close-up horn doppler effect. This has never posed a problem for Jon Lord, Keith Emerson, Rick Wakeman, Booker T. playing the biggest halls on the planet. Never heard (or heard of) them?
