Dropped a tool on my foot almost 3 months ago. Fractured a toe, did some minor nerve damage. The pain is taking a long time to diminish. And my lower back has had me on a heating pad for most of the day from working all weekend at the first Spring clean up of 3 acres. Now, just when the craving hits, I'm out of Peanut Butter. Life is hard, you know?

Me personally, I am better than ever and there is a dark, sad, and maybe ultimately hopeful set of complex threads packed into that.
The last few years have shown a lot of people a profoundly unempathetic side of people and a surprising lack of centeredness of many in objectively verifiable reality.
I was not one of those people. None of this was a surprise to me.
Spending most of my adult life as part of an interracial relationship in the U.S. south and working as an advocate for poor people has left me with few surprises as to human nature.
Every person surprised by things in the last years, is a person I now feel less isolated from.
There is a pain in knowing, but there is also hope in understanding. It leads to the possibility of solutions.
I can say as a teacher that no, people are not okay. Everybody is burnt out and not enjoying things like they used to. I'm sure there's different reasons for everybody, but it's year 3 of death around the corner for everybody and that takes a real toll on the nerves.
I've felt the short fuse on this forum too. It's made not want to make new posts, sadly, because usually there's a negative comment that really doesn't have much to do with the original post. It's a shame, cause there's lots of wisdom on here, but I'm finding myself doing my own research now.
I am still sober today. And my fingers still mostly work
So I'm more than good.
I've always been moody and always will be. I just don't subject other people to it anymore.
People are in pain. Give them a little pass once in a while.
No. Burnt out. Constant pain. Lots of anxiety. High BP. Frankly, I'm a wreck. But I mask it well so I don't worry my family. Thank goodness for the band. Rehearsals are very therapeutic. Shame our next gig isn't for a month, but I wrote a song for it. The hotel is haunted and I wrote a tune about the ghost. This is the only song I've written. We worked it up last week at rehearsal. Still needs a bit of work. Hope you like it. And no, I can't resist the urge to share it.

The purpose is that anyone who might recognize this: "2x 47uF 63V, C106 C107, which came from very near the headphone out" might also see this: "I suspect that it was shipped upside down and these screws backed out from vibration. If this is the case then I guess the manufacturer has seen other examples, or should be warned about it", and tell me whether or not that is a ridiculous theory.
I tend to be happy for the simple little things......oh look, a squirrel.
Hey, Joel.
First of all, I sticky bookmarked that so I can listen to it when I'm on my lunch break. But I must return to work now. Heh. Yeah, I'm a stooge..
Seriously though, I want to leave you with this. Do what you must do to relieve anxiety, and the burnout. Distraction and mindfulness are great tools to give yourself space to process the emotions. Anxiety is dastardly, but there's always something we can do. Burnout is only curable by rest from the activity in some capacity and positive reinforcement.
Thanks for being comfortable enough to share with all of us, man.
Gotta learn to deal with these things. I mean I could bet that it's always been this way, but now we all have access to social media and global media in general so problems appear to be closer and worse than ever.Fighting in Europe (I'm being as non-political as I can!); Pandemic; Climate Change. And bombardment with propaganda on all three, from all sides. There is nowhere to look for reassurance. There is no one to trust. Is it any wonder we're all distracted and weird?
