A recent thread here on TB reignited a passion that I had for Mothers Finest. I did my gigging in the southeast all through the 1980's and Mothers Finest was most certainly a building block to my love of rock & roll as I was learning my chops in the late 1970's. Mothers Finest was massive down south and I know that they didn't get the notoriety they deserved in many markets so you may not be familiar with them. But if you love the bass, and I know you do.... Wizard's playing ranks among the absolute top for style, flair, groove and tastefulness of any bass player around..... So anyway, I ordered his book and if you like deep dives into the music scene that was the so alive in the 1970's (the scene that made me pick up a bass), then get his book. It is a wonderful read and really shows the man's heart. I had always heard that there was no classier and nicer group of rockers than MF and you can feel that in his words. Pretty cool when most 70's era rockers had egos the size of a 747 jumbo jet. I bought the autographed version, and he was kind enough to even write a personal note in it for me. Super guy. Super book.
