Ah, yes. I remember hearing about this now. There's about a 0.03% chance I could make it, but I'm sure it will be cool! I haven't played Pete's basses (though a lot of folks obviously think highly of them), but I can say that if you're in the area and haven't tried one of Mike's cabs, you owe it to yourself to go! If Jonathan's amp's there, too, it'll be a treat.
Heh. I own the Aguilar TH500: 5 pounds, small enough to carry with two fingers, an honest 500 watts. Sounds nice, but as noted my ears are spoiled by JGR audio technology. Even at my advanced age I think I can handle a little extra bulk and 7 extra pounds. I want a micro that pleases my ears as much as my creaky old back!

Got a little marathon session done - pots are wired and the board is pretty much built. Since I don't have the custom inductors yet, I'll pull from the proto for now so I can button this thing up. Time for bed.
Looks great. Once a build gets this far along it becomes pretty hard to put the tools down doesn't it!

Alright, got confirmation that my custom inductors are finally being wound today. I hope to get this thing up and running this weekend.

I just got a shipment notification for my inductors which are slated for delivery next Thursday. Doesn't leave me much time before Redding on Sat but I'm going to try to get it up and running tonight with the ones from the proto and I'll drop the new ones in if I have time. Drinking coffee (been up since since 5am with the little one) then heading down to the lab....
