I have custom faceplates made for the front. For the rear, I originally did industrial labels but then went to hand-labeling which is probably what I'll do for these.

Just spent some time with fellow TB'er Nomatic. Played the BOT with the1200 watt Ice module. Man----if the new amp has that quality of sound with usable eq --- whoa!

You will soon find out! My inductors showed up today - haven't had a chance to check them out yet, but if I can get the baby that is currently sleeping on my lap to bed without waking up, I may try to sneak downstairs and wire them in.

So I ordered two different values of inductors, three of each value. Confirmed it with them when I called to check the status of the order last week (was taking forever). I just received three different values (two of each), and two of the three values are wrong! :(

So I tried out the one that was correct and I actually like the one I've been using better, so I put it back in. Enough with that.

I just scribbled on some labels so folks can tell what is what. Buttoned it back up. Let's go to Redding.

I like the flower around the power light, and the "lines of urgency/intensity" around the clip. And the horsepower rating.

Re script vs. a printed or otherwise mechanically produced label, script is good as long as it's quickly legible and durable. Is what's pictured industrial Sharpie on brushed aluminum? Makes me think it might be cool to order a blank faceplate and turn it over to my artist brother. Maybe someday I'll even get an amp to go with it! ;)

Indeed, industrial Sharpie. This was a crappy 2 minute job - can't do much with all the knobs on - I just remembered that most folks aren't going to want to look at a bunch of blank knobs so I scribbled on it before heading up. I do hand graphics on the BoT which are pretty good, but I want to do a regular plate for the front.

It's silver paint pen. It looks cool on the black powder coat, but its always kind of nerve racking because there is no margin for error if you mess up! Takes a lot of drying with a heat gun so you don't smudge. But the look is kind of fun.
