This is the Hypex module we are talking about in the m2500 and there is a power supply involved also.Invalid Link Removed And here is the power supply [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] No Snake Oil here !!!!

These are for the person that posted and was asking all about the specs but really doubt he knows what they even mean ??? Tire Kicker !!

I'm considering converting my Jule Monique to either an m700 or maybe the m2500. My concern is the m2500 being too much power, but I don't know how to apply this in the real world. If the two amps are playing at the same volumes, what would be the downside of the extra power? Wouldn't they be created the same amount of speaker excursion? I would think that the m2500 would be better in this regard, due to the extra headroom experiencing less clipping.

This bumped in my alerts, so I guess I should add this to the thread. After this has been in production for a year and a half, I finally upgraded from my Monique-IPR2-3K-DSP to the M2500. I haven't had time to let the ponies run yet, but will soon. First rack mount 2500 built, dual-high flow cooling fans with adjustable speed. And as a bonus...a chrome hood ornament.

You can see this is my home-low volume cabinet, so I won't be able to test it with full 15/6-15sub rig for a while. But I'm pretty sure I'll be able to shake a few things.

2500 watts peak maybe, but not RMS (based on Hypex data), that would work out to 1250 watts (RMS).

Driven beyond 50 amps peak, which would be 1250 watts RMS, the amp would (and should) go into protection mode from an overcurrent fault.

Oh, hello. I see that this thread has been quiet for... 2.5 years or so... ;) I thought I'd check in as I am seriously considering a M2500 purchase (preferably used)-

Anyone have any updates on how they are liking their M2500?

I had a 2000 watt Wayne Jones rig for a short while (the cabs were too heavy/cumbersome, I sold the head with them)- and it sounded great. Just having that kind of weight behind you, even at a reasonable volume, really enhanced the dynamics and control over the tonal sound spectrum. I've played through many different rigs and can appreciate the difference between pushing 500-800 watts and the 2000 on the bandstand.

I am considering getting the M2500 (or M700) to amplify the Monique Dovecage that I just acquired. I am using Phil Jones C8 cabs and am thinking that the Monique dovecage and the M2500 would pair well with these cabs.

Figured rather than open up a thread I'd ask here. Any thoughts to share? And if anyone has one they'd like to part with do ping me. Thanks in advance.

Anyone know if the dimensions to this and the m700 are posted? Are they the same chassis? I think that the newest iteration may be a different form factor.

I'm still looking if anyone's looking to sell :thumbsup:
