Jule Amps Monique part 5

I love this. The philosophy of the 2500 distilled into two words.

I had a friend with an old late 70's Datsun 280Z. He decided for a high school shop class he'd drop a big ol' American muscle car engine into it. After a whole bunch of structural work and fabricating a new hood to fit it and all the other stuff I don't understand because I can't even change my oil...he had a nearly deadly undrivable 280Z that he drove throughout the next few months until he crashed it into a tree.

The M2500 has the huge engine, but is totally controllable. To the extent that I've never had to replace a speaker.

When the first few M2500s rolled out I got several emails/messages, nicely stated, pleasant even, from friends that are cabinet builders suggesting in ever so nice ways that I've lost my mind. That was a while ago and they are still friends. . . I think.

Truth is that no M2500 customer has suggested it has too much power. So, "Why not?"

It is possible that my years of racing motorcycles in open class (no power limit) may have warped me. Something certainly did.

When I first built my fEARful cabs and started using multi-kilowatt amps that were generally way more than most people using high powered amps were using, Dave 'greenboy' Green tried to talk me out of it. Then he sent around some others in the fF social circle to try to convince me that I was nuts and would also most likely keeel my cabs dead. That was back in 2009. Still going without a failure.

With great power comes great responsibility. Some of us can handle both of those. ;)

I confess to having dummy loads to handle power testing of these big amps, but the final final test (me playing) is through a fEARful 2/12. It is pretty easy to tell when I'm ruffling its feathers. Still sounds beautiful.
