That Eich looks like is was meant to sit under a Monique.
But I still don't get basses that have more controls than the preamp (and I own a Tobias Growler).
I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Jule and hearing one of his amps through a fEarful 1515/6 some time back at a local bass hang. Quite the gentleman and scholar, and the rig was mind boggling.

Lol I actually use the preamp set flat and go for passive when I use my own rig. With different rigs I tend to use the preamp more. At some point I kinda wish that both my Fodera’s were passive but when I ordered them I said to myself that if you spend that kind of money into a bass you might as well get the whole package For the looks I would prefer less knobs

Often a question. I get confused myself.

All of these are good at 2 ohms. In the M700 and M2500, I recommend using the fan at 2 ohms.

M500
550 watts @ 2 ohms
700 watts @ 4 ohms
400 watts @ 8 ohms

Simone 500 Block Amp - This is not the same amp used in the M500 - A different color horse
400 watts @ 2 ohms
500 watts @ 4 ohms
270 watts @ 8 ohms

M700
1200 watts @ 2 ohms. . . yup. A beast
700 watts @ 4 ohms
440 watts @ 8 ohms

M2500 - Yes. Multiples of these can be stacked - if 2500 isn't enough.
2000 watts @ 2 ohms
2500 watts @ 4 ohms
1600 watts @ 8 ohms

Jule... why would someone spend almost double the money for M700 vs M500. I’m sure the M700 has lots of extra features but when you look at the power ratings alone.....thanks in advance for helping me understand the difference!

Since I own a M700 ( I purchased it used from Nostatic, a great seller) I can attest to it's quality.
That said it's not inexpensive, but they do come up used from time to time. As recently as 4 months ago
there was a used M2500 sold used for the price of a new M700.

An M700 will put out 1200w at 2 ohms, and ~1000w at 2.67 ohms all night long. Just keep the fan on.

Curious: I thought the M500 was also Hypex components and in the exact same aluminum chassis and enclosure as the M700, with the main difference being in the power rating when dealing with sub-4 ohm loads (and price!). That not correct?

That is true. I ordered an M500 earlier this year, it had a Hypex power module.

I’m sure there are some differences, just doesn’t make sense that they’re identical except for 2ohm power (which I would never use) and the M700 is twice the price. People seem to love both, as well as ALL of Jules products, and I for one am starting to really enjoy the Kool-Aid!

I’m not an authority on this by any stretch though, I’m sure Jule could answer this...what I do know is these are two of the most talked about and respected bass power amps on the market!

I'm not an authority either; maybe Jule will weigh in. I do know that I've never come close to needing more than the M500 -- I tend to run the Monique pretty hot into it, and have never had a scenario where I needed to run the M500 past 10:00 or so (at 4 ohms, with a pair of SC/SM Barefaced 12" cabs). And I also don't have any plans to run sub-4 ohm. I just got confused when someone responded to your question about the difference between the M500 and M700 by mentioning the Hypex components and aluminum chasis -- there may be differences between the two (beyond the sub-4 ohm ratings), but I didn't think those (Hypex and chasis) were among them...

You’re right, I have since gone back and re-read what the web site says about the M500. It clearly states that it has the same chassis and uses Hypex components. I’m waiting to hear back from Jule, convinced I would get the M700, but I’m sure the M500 would do the job as well for 90% of my gigs. It’s just that last 10% that has lead me down the road toward the M700, that plus I guess I do like a little extra headroom. Once again, I don’t think you can make a bad choice if it says “Jule” on it!
