Jule Amps Monique part 5

I may be nuts, but I am not nuts enough to buy a $2400 tube poweramp.:jawdrop:

I bet it sounds killer, but I am wondering if it really sounds any better than the Monique 700.....

I can't compare unfortunately and I didn't spend $2400 on it either. Brought it over here for a lot less than you guys buy it in the US as it was old stock. So yes killer tone and not as much as I would of have paid if I brought it direct. Very happy camper. I have to say though if I were touring again I wouldn't be going down this track I'm not that nuts myself. :)

Posted this in the BigE thread, but thought it might be appreciated here. Pant shaking lows and crystal clear highs, it sings the 3D tube tone from Monique enveloping the listeners. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Mr Potter and playing for a few minutes on the 700, can't wait to see the stand alone amp come available.

Awesome!

Maybe a silly question! But have you Jules have any plans about doing a preamp pedal version of the monique? I know you can't put all things of a monique into a pedal but maybe some of it :)
I'd like to see it too, but Truth is that the Dove Cage is cramped up in there as she sits. That and the idea of having almost 300 volts (Plate Voltage) running around in a pedal on the floor seems a bit scary.

Much less the idea of 2x 6LS7, EZ81 and 12AU7 on your pedal board. Or fitting those transformers with tubes in a pedal... It's not exactly a preamp with a token 12AX7 for looks.

Umm.....could those cabs look more awesome?! Just when I think my GAS has subsided, some %$^& comes in and posts a pic like this! :p Awesome looking rig, can only imagine how it sounds!

So, for those that partake on the dirtier side of things, what do Mo users typically use to add in some grit. I am loving the Mo, I just miss having that bit of grind I got from my Mesa 400+.

I don't often use pedals, but now and then I'll use this in front of an MXR Envelope filter:

Pretty mean sounding in its own right, and certainly the most versatile fuzz pedal I can think of (which doesn't say much, since I haven't played all that many, but it is versatile nonetheless!).
