Ken added lead under the tail to balance it. I can put it on my lap and let go and it just sits there. He explained the process to me... he had a bag of lead that he would balance on the tail. He would add/subtract lead until it sat perfect on his knee. Then he put the exact amount under the tail and sealed it.

That was Ken's decision. Looks cool and fits the design. The H. Claw has slanted pickups too (the ends are straight though).

Damn Jean this bass looks great. Whats kind of funny is it actually doesnt look that big...but then again you are probably one of the biggest bass players on TB. Killer bass though. When are you going to post soundclips?????????

Also, I know this isn't video game themed, but have you ever considered a Simpsons-themed bass?

We changed the tuning to low C# (after those intial pictures). That's a C# from the Hideous Claw... unfortunately, the string is about an inch too long (the claw is 36" scale, Joust is 35"), so Ken used the F# tuning post as a sort of pulley - the string is actually in the C# tuning post (and can be tuned with it), it's just looped around the F# post to keep the thick part from going on the tuner and snapping the string. Should have a Joust C# string this week. hahaha nothing broken.

I'm surprised you guys didn't notice it in the picture where I'm holding it. ;)
