Careful! From everything I've heard, the Chi's would be an expensive "downgrade" for me. I love the Lakland pups. I can see how folks like Chi-sonics, Darkstars, Fralins, and others. But I don't consider those upgrades! I know what you mean though!

IMO, the barts do the P sound more convincing than the Lakies on the same bass, and the Lakies, on the contrary, are closer to the MM sound.

I'm thinking of installing a PTC on all 3 of mine. I'm just worried it'll affect resale value as I might want to get US version later.

nope...will ADD value....I have a PTC on my 55-07 and would not live without it!!!!

If the LOG bass doesn't happen in the near future, I'll be adding a 55-07 to fulfill my occasional active needs....

I wouldn't mind having the Chi's in a Glaub, but in my 55-02? No way!

then it would NOT be a 55-02, it would be "upgraded" to a 55-07...so there would be NO CHIs in your 55-02 (just getting picky!!! LOL!!!)

A CHI'd BG would be GREAT (LOG bass ghost back to haunt us...enough "new people" since the last time we went for it...hmmmm......maybe JUST maybe! you guys thinkin what I'm thinkin????)

There's a thread or four on the LOG site. I'm thinking if we did a BG5 in a standard color (3tsb), with a P p/u, with a twist to make it special (black blocks on a maple neck- something never done before on a Lakie fiver), it would be a home run.

PULLLEASE! ANYTHING but a 3 TSB...Aaron...I KNOW you like da bursts but that is just not me....I still think another color may be good....the question is to CHI or "std" P pickup....and a blocked neck (no argument there!)......

Its better than what Iw ould have done...I would have used crayons and sharpies, then just scanned it into the intrawebnet thingy

or better yet...have your daughter do it...it might have turned out better!
