that color is REALLY growing on me...the more I see it, the more I like it.....
that looks really hot on that body (even better than the JO if I dare say!)
Thanks man...even though you don't like the cream covers...you're alright

Firstly, I didn't realize that you had a mirror ball installed in your house Markus.
Here is my U.S. Lakland Darryl Jones with humbucking Chi's and custom JRetro preamp with coil taps. I love it but may sadly have to let it go soon. I need to make some upgrades in my studio and might need to sell it to come up with the cash. Boohoo...boohoo!

I like it, but I'd LOVE it with blocks!!!!!!
I don't think of them as old school, maybe BEM blocks, no guard & let the wood do the talkin!
random block party photo...

Ohhhhh yehhhhhhh......abalone blocks......and binding.....
Hm. I hadn't noticed that extra chunk of pickguard. I guess I was blinded by the colour combo. I actually quite like the shape in this link here : http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...93385ec&itemid=360056002776&ff4=263602_263622
I have no association with the sale.
Yes!
Not DJ related, but I really like the Lakland/Hanson guts in my 55-02 over the Barts that I tried.
Not dissing the Barts JJ, just keeping this post Lakie related![]()
hey guys! just got back from a long stint on the road. I got home to see the LOG CD sitting here. Sounds great! It is a privilege to be on a cd with such great players and great guys!
Also, something new on the horizon...possibly![]()
I heard Pats new deal is that he will only refinish laklands. If you send him something else, he will put it in a wood chipper and then burn the remains. I cannot confirm this, it is just what I heard.![]()
I love me some laklands with blocks

And, I think Markus swapped necks recently just to compare looks w/out reguard to how he would adjust the truss.
Where's the drool smiley? That is so hot.
On an unrelated note, I love my band members. We played a talent show at my school the other day, and we botched it. My drummer got super nervous infront of the crowd, and sped the song up super fast, and the frontman was having trouble singing and playing guitar, so he'd stop playing to sing from time to time. All the while I'm trying to just keep this mess together. Everyone loved it! Its crazy how we know our performance was awful, but no one really noticed. I am far too hungover to be posting this stuff.
Was just browsing facebook. I realized that my great friend's brother plays bass.. And you can go ahead and guess the kicker.
I won't say what bass he plays but it starts with a Lakland 55-01.
Sitting here listening to the audio from Ed Friedlands, clinic from the Austin GTG.
I can see his demo of the 44-07 and the Chi's selling a few basses
I normally am as well, but for some reason with the design of the guard on these 44-01s, I prefer white. I have no idea why. On a regular Jazz Bass (or JO, or what have you), I prefer a tort.
