Okay, I know there's nothing new to see here, but where else can I post pics of my steal? I got this DJ on eBay with a Lakland case for $650. POW!

But, I'm really getting the bug to buy a new one, and I'm torn between a 44-64 and a Decade...

Suggestions?

Killer score man!

Tuff decision...both very cool! Since you have a J, I'd get the P next.

I like what it looks like in this pic. Like a very dark deep deep deep blue, - and it becomes her too.
Maybe, just maybe, if you're not happy with the black, - you could send her to Marty and have this color. I'm okay with you naming the color "Denis Blue" :smug:

Thanks guys for the props on my new lakland 5502 black/maple..

Initially I was apprehensive about how Id feel about a maple neck (ive only played rosewood).. But after just two weeks, Im very comfortable and very happy. That doesnt mean I dont love rosewood - Ill take one of each thank you!!!!\

but u were right, I have serious Lakland fever now - especially after the factory tour and how cool everyone was....Im trying to trade my Musicman Sterling for a Lakland 4402 Rosewood...

Boy someone hit that on the nail..... LAKLAND ROX.

Nice! Congrats!!!
Since you just purchased a Fender P as well, i'd love to hear your thoughts.... a "shootout", if you will, on the BG VS. Fender P. I always like to hear other peoples opinions.

Will do!

So far, I find that the Fender RW P has some neck dive, but I'm used to my Lakland DJ4 which has none of that, so some of it may be just me not being used to it yet...

Hey chaps....is there a difference with the 'new' versions of the models now? I have seen a few JO5s I want to test, but I want to know if the new 5560 (correct?) is any different? Different numbers/serial etc etc?
Nope. Even the serial numbers haven't changed.:)

Wow... been a few days since I've checked in over here. It's actually *almost* busy again (well, it was a few days ago).

And this made me LOL...

If you're sitting on the fence, I'll help you. The difference between a Lakland Skyline Bass and any other bass in it's price range is like the difference between a sharpened stick and a high powered rifle.

Oh yeah, and to make sure I'm on topic... I love Laklands... LOG bass, can't wait.
