(Sorta) Linking in with the just-released status of the 2012 range...
Piddling about on the internet, I discovered that the ESP-made Shoreline series (remember them?) still exists.

Something really weird though - the Darryl Jones (which they still call the 44-75) has the modified body shape, i.e. the odd upper horn. Is this deliberate? I know these instruments are rare as hen's teeth, I just wondered if this is a section of the ESP website that doesn't get updated much (although the Tetsuya is on there).

Any news what's going on there? Oh, and get graphite reinforcement for your 4-string Darryl Jones - only 315,000 yen!

interesting to see the modified body shape with the standard LPB configuration!

Cheers,

I'm going to guess it's outdated. The Tetsuya's been out for probably 18 months or more, whereas the DJ just came back a few months ago.

I love both the stock finishes on the Skyline DJ4.

you may get to try some "new" lower tension strings soon... wathc the mail box....

Tease!

I agree. Tat? is that you?
No. Not me.
1) sorry Tat!

2)....man...you are hillarious!!!! I have several "gently used" basses but sorry...they all are staying put!

Of course I’m hilarious. Anything less is dull and boring and monotonous. I just couldn’t abide by a life that was dull or boring or monotonous. If I pouted, do you think that would change your mind? I could work up a pout if it helped the cause. :D

so....color is NOT an issue? sounds like any color will do ya! don't buy one in Toronto....will cost you too much to get across the border...and the exchange rate is not good right now...

Yeah – I’m not buying while I’m here. Remember? Having to deal with car repairs, so there’s no bass buying budget right now. That’s why I’m seeking donations of gently used forlorn lonely sitting in the closet in the corner under the bed hanging out in the music room haven’t been touched in more than a week Laklands. :D And the donation part is why color isn’t going to be a hang-up for me. I think it’s rather ungracious to complain when someone offers to gift you with something nice. :D

what concert ya going to????
The group is called Life After Forty. It’s TBer BassGen’s band and they’re doing a charity fundraiser in Toronto. Work got me close, so I’m hanging out to see the show.

Nice snag. What color combo did you go for? Any stock pix to share?

Candy Apple Red. I'll post pics, I promise! ;)

Arrrggghhhh!!!! The waiting......

Yeah, because right now I only have seven basses that Ican play while I'm waiting...

:D

teh time will be well worth it when you hear teh roar of the diesel engine as Big Brown pulls into the driveway!

...or in your case, the cell phone ring with "premier bass" as the caller ID!

It will take way less time than when I ordered my Carvins, so I really shouldn't be such a crybaby!

Cool! What's a 44-64 deluxe? A P Bass with a quilt maple top?

I think he means the "C" word..."custom".... oh no!

Yeah, I meant the C word. I haven't been in this thread all that long, but I already fear using the C word for fear of giving Roadkill a stroke. Although I have no idea why it's an "issue." :D I mean, how can you fail to like a P-bass with a Jazz neck? :bassist:
