I was at Bass Emporium a couple of weeks back when they received a new Skyline hollowbody. Saw them open the box, it came with D'Addario nickels.
Jeez, I go into the bush for a few days and the whole world breaks out in jewellery. Sheesh, it's like I'm at work or something around here...
Well, okay, then. This one belongs to a friend of mine (TB handle bass12), and was the first Sad*wsky I ever actually saw in person. If I ever win the lottery, I'm ordering its twin with a fifth string. Right after I order my fancy US Lakland, of course...
Okay, photo of the flamey fretboard. Remember, all; this is with Doudely dispensation. And one does not **** with the Doude.
But anyway, it really turned me onto the flamed-maple fretboard idea.
For the Lakland, I think what I'd really want would be--well, okay, a certain Markus Orange P, but my *original* idea was a 55-94 with a flamed top in amber. Madagascar rosewood fretboard with the usual birdseye dots. Gotta have those if I can't get the (say it with me) abalone.
Actually, we just went up to start building our deer blinds for fall. We got one up and tore down another to move it to a better spot. We'll go back in June to finish up.

Ghs makes them but there is no real corresponding ghs model....they are. Dsigned by lakland

But hey, I was in the forest. Away from the nightly demonstrations that have been making this town so damned *loud* for the past several months. The peace and quiet was worth it. Though The bass-free aspect would have had me crawling the walls before long...

Last pair of strings I bought for my Lull 5-er, (Sadowsky black label flats, my favorite flats), the dealer checked the length to a Lull he had in stock to make sure they would fit. YMMV, but I recommend Premier Bass Guitar in CO, they're my new fav. dealer in the world.

Here's the 55-02D I just received today. Boy is the neck a LOT wider than I thought it would be. Holy moly! At least I'll be able to slap and pop without the strings getting in the way. Oh one question!! What does that switch supposed to do? It's actually not a switch as it doesn't really do anything. It didn't come with a manual, so I don't really know what the dials do nor what this little metal switchy thing is for.

Congrats, it looks great! The neck dimensions are listed on the site, let us know if it varies from those.

I think you supplied the wrong link. That goes to a ticket site. I'm looking on Lakland's site and it states the coil selector switch is not available on the 55-01. Well, I have the 55-02 and it doesn't do anything.
** Edit ** OK I'm dumb. It actually switches from side to side--not up and down like a guitar toggle.
I'm not really noticing a difference in the selections, but I'll keep playing around with it. I hope it works like it's supposed to. It sure is a pertty thing.

That mini toggle will split your bridge pickup (Musicman style) into 3 different modes (single front, single back and full humbucker)
The knobs should be volume and pickup balance on the top (if you're playing the bass and looking down at the knobs) and treble/mid/bass boost and cut...
Inside the back control cover you should find a tiny box with dip switches on it that can change your midrange frequency)
It's a pretty killer preamp...and probably a bit daunting if it's new to you...but with a little patience you'll find it's incredibly flexible

You can't go wrong with Lakland. Take an hour and learn how to get different tones before you change the settings in the control cavity.
