Technically they're calling this a 55-Dual J, but the differences? The bodyshape, the knobs(my 55-60CS has the stack pots), and as you mentioned the standard Lakland/Hanson pickups. The Chi-Sonic sounds very different than your standard J-Bass pickup, even though mine are in the J-bass position.
So I bought my new 55-64 to a band practice today. Everyone was surprise on how big the output of this bass and it cuts thru very very well. Another successful buy.
