Lakland Owners Group #69

Off topic question.....how did the EXL-220's fit? I usually buy the super long scale set's, but did not think the regular long scales would fit......
They fit just fine. But, I string through bridge and do not go through body. Not sure if they would be long enough for that.

Missed the trans red dj 4 at GC the other day , but grabbed this one this morning. '09 natural 4 banger with an East pre. Was this model called the Adam Clayton in 09 or was it still a Darryl jones

Halfway my 6 month waiting time ... why do the last few months always seem to be longer than the first ones...

55-64, P/J, LH-3 preamp, natural finish over an ash body, rosewood fretboard, black pickguard.

It'll be my third Lakland - I unfortunately had to sell my 2000 55-94 (trans blue, Bartolini pickups) to fund my current main bass: a 2011 55-60, natural ash, maple neck, no pickguard, J-Retro.

Herwig

man o man...that sounds KILLER!!!!

Need to add a similar bass to my (ever growing) Lakie wish list!

I will need pics as well as a description of how you like the LH3 with the P and J...I am sure it will sound great!

How are you having the knobs laid out?

yup...the last months are the hardest!

Major congrats!!!

Actually - it was the "Non-AC" :)

Technically it is a DJ.....BUT the combo was "supposed to be" the first LOG bass...funny - we could not get 30 people to agree on all of the specs...BUT they have sold many more than that!

Dan insisted we NOT call it the AC -there never was an AC sig bass and Dan did not want a call from an Irish Attorney (solicitor I think they are called there) asking for money for the artist so the nomenclature was informal...

Thanks for the info on the new bass. I'm still looking for a pickguard for the '06 dj5 I bought a couple weeks back. Pickguardian site isn't sending me a password,...grrr...no luck on their FB page either,...if anyones got a white or pearl white 5 string guard,....give me a shout! ;)

Arrived yesterday!! Nice and lively!! Haven't weighed yet, but feels very light! The tone is exactly what I wanted! Custom ordered and Lakland Delivered!!

US Lakland
Contoured body
Birdseye Maple neck with not fret markers
1.62" nut
Single coil pickup, and no pickguard or pickup cover, or holes.

Love this thing! And the Gecko strap sets it off perfectly! Looking for that stripped down hot rod look.

This one will be called Eve. Not the first, '51 P Bass, but created from the first. Eve. Like '57 P. I see some Police tunes in my future!
