If it does not, then you should stop playing the bass altogether and seek immediate medicinal attention for yourself and for the sake of the bass.

The number one problem with basses is dryrot.

With all the basses ever made you'd think there would be thousands around still..one in every home.

But the reason you never see them is due to dryrot.

Basses left in a case in a closet for over a year disintegrate into dust. Happens time and time again.

Some just fall apart on stage while being played.

Basses are particularly susceptible to dryrot because the low bass tones attract organisms that start the rot.
