In the eighties we used to have live metal. It died in the late nineties and now starts resurrecting. I guess we'll have live metal again in the twenties.

By then the best gear for metal will have been discovered by this very bass forum.

Problem with Death Metal is that it's almost impossible to play it live.

Try as you might to make up a new humorous genre of metal, it already exists and the players take it very seriously. Sorry, this is not misinformation. Some would argue that it is not musical either.

Pay to play has been expanded in scope, and is now profitable to the musicians. Pay to not play allows bands to distribute tickets for a show. People can then buy tickets to not have to hear the band. If enough tickets are sold, the band gets a share of the door, and they are removed from the line up.

Play to pay your gear used to be the standard. This is considered old fashioned nowadays. Youngsters, who are still living with their parents, found out it's the other way round. Don't play to get your gear paid by your parents.
