First dumb question time, do you have to take the feet off to get it on a pedalboard? If so do the screws go back in okay?
The rubber feet are just tall enough that you can and should take them off to use velcro. Screws go back in, no problem.

I always lose the feet. I prefer to stack some velcro, Hook/eye/hook. That way the velcro sticks out further than the feet. The rubber feet are just tall enough that you can and should take them off to use velcro. Screws go back in, no problem.
Hey all, I’m gonna let go of my HX. It’s incredible, but I’m just more comfortable with separate pedals. It’s in great condition with box and candy. Letting the HX thread know before I put it in the TB classifieds.
Shoot me a PM if interested, I’ll give you a good deal.

This is not directly on point, but some of you may enjoy Sean Fairchild's review of the Fractal Audio Systems AXB and the Line 6 Helix.
Finding new cool ways to make the HX effects serve my needs.
For the last few months it has been on my gig board, as part of a larger ensemble of devices, but next Saturday I have a gig that suggests a small footprint is in order. I revisited the preset I had for using just the HX and found it lacking.
I have a very clean, wide response rig, and sometimes I like to dial in an old school thump. I have been using the Ictineo for this to great success. As an alternative in HX, I have been seeking an LPF that I can set below 1KHz. There is nothing in the EQ models that can achieve this. Today I created a patch in the Auto Filter that is perfect. Set the Sens to 0 (filter never opens), LP mode, and the Freq to taste, I settled at 330Hz. All whoomph at the touch of a switch.
This preset has an Obsidian set to clean, EQ/tone shaper only, and a Clawthorn as a Dark OD. I didn't have another block for a fuzz, so I set the Expression pedal to turn the Fuzz on and off in the Clawthorn, and the Drive on and off in the Obsidian. I know you can use Snapshots for this kind of change, but I much prefer to stay in Stompbox mode, and this is a much more elegant and facile solution for me.
As I told my Guitarist who just got one, in addition to exploring the HX to see what it can do, try just imagining what you wish it could do, and chances are there is a way to make that happen.
Isn't in the preview of the 2.8 something of a better lpf?
Edit:
Maye this will do the trick?

Is there a list somewhere with an explanation of the different effects and their parameters?
I’m just looking for a starting point, so this should be very helpful.I will when I get home. But I think I ran it like this for the most part:
Gain was about 8
Bass about 6, maybe higher or lower. I can't remember. I'm pretty sure I bumped it up quite a bit
Treble about -4.5
Push and pull was either LED or none for both. I like the openness of none but LED brings more raunch
Asymmetrical about 2.5- I'm still not sure where I like this the most. I think I like this minimal to off.
Also remember that I am running my HX through a rusty box, fx10 and a B7KU as well as a filtered blender (Damnation Audio's loop/blender). So your settings could vary drastically. What I set mine too could sound terrible through your rig.
Recalling this preset will now spit out a PC message to recall the FI's preset as well. If you change the Prog value for different snapshots, snapshots will recall the FI's preset too. Save your preset when you're done.
- From the Command Center menu, turn the Big Knob to select an Instant command (lightning bolt icon).
- Touch FS2 and turn Knob 1 (Commnd) to select "BankPC." This is a Bank and Program change message.
- Press PAGE> and turn Knob 2 (Prog) to select the desired preset in your Future Impact pedal. Their manual says it responds to PC messages 1-99, but PC messages traditionally run from 0-127, so you may have to set this one number off. Leave CC00 and CC32 set to "Off," as the FI doesn't respond to bank messages.
Yes, you'll need the FI plugged into something (like an FX Loop on HX Effects) to hear it, as no sound ever goes down a MIDI cable.
