Don't think I'll ever sell my...

the Rob Allen Mouse, or...

the Fender VI.

I also have a Fender Jaguar Bass VI/Baritone Custom which isn't going anywhere, but it's tuned as a baritone guitar right now, and hence probably doesn't count in this thread.

I could also add that I don't think I'll buy any new basses anytime soon.

On the Never Sell list are these two:

Havent had a GAS attack since I got the BP jazz last year.

The Geddy works well with the cover band and the BP jazz works well in D standard for the Progressive Metal band.

i dont think i could sell any of my lovely basses but theres 2 i defo couldent cos they meen alot to me

on the left is my 1980 aria pro II xrb wich was custom painted by my big cousin (who gave me the bass and the amp shown) and has pretty much became my most famous bass, plays like a dream, neck pickup is outta phase wich gives it a nice clicky sound, bridge has ALOT of punch in comparison so i like to use both together... plus the headstock is really quite pointy

on the right is my squier jazz bass. plays like no other bass in the world. got it 2nd hand after saving for AGES and brought it without even trying it. every gig ive played ive used one of those basses and they never let me down... ok i did break my low e on the jazz but thats not the point

these basses for me are perfect because there imperfect

most people think my aria is the most hiddious thing ever and my best mate actually said "sean most people save up for a fender or a boutique bass yet you think youve got it made with a squier and a bass that usually goes on ebay for £80"

but thats why i love em

Well, "never" is a pretty strong word but, probably last to go for me would be my Sting with Fender flats. It plays wonderfully and has that warm, woody tone that makes me smile. It's all bass and nuttin but the bass :D

In 1964 I bought a used 1958 red/white P Bass for $225 @ Sam Ash. I sold it in 1976 for $450.

In 1979 I bought a new MIA J Bass for $475 @ GC. In 2004 I sold it for $500 (in only 8/10 conditioin) w/ orig HSC. :(

[Hey, Jeanette. Where's my gun? I wanna shoot myself in the foot!] :scowl:

I've bought and sold/traded 13 basses this year. I'm pretty sure one day I'll have a bass that I wouldn't sell, but as for now, I don't.

haha...I'm right there with you. I've entirely lost count of what I've had come through my hands this year. But I seem to have 1 consitant rotating bass. It used to be 2 that will never go anywhere, but the addition of my P5....that thing ain't going anywhere. I've used it more in the last 2 weeks than any other bass. It just fits! Def. not my best playing bass, but man it sounds huge in the mix.
