Live from Daryl's House

I have only seen a little bit of it, but it seemed promising. My dad was telling me about it, but i havent had time to check it out, i have heard a couple recordings coming out of it and they were awesome. Its probably going to be a show that i will just watch on youtube. I have like no time to do anything anymore xD

One of my all time favorites from Daryl's house is the episode with Company of Thieves. Smoking version of Joplin's Piece of Heart.

Klyde replaced Zev Katz over the last 6 or so episodes. Zev is a pretty smoking player with a unique personality that came through on some of the episodes.

Check out all the back episodes, you won't be disappointed.

Gotta say. I've seen some great stuff coming out of this show. It's a great premise. Daryl Hall, yes the same from Hall and Oats, is an amazing talent. I never realized it, since I'm not a huge fan of Hall and Oats. Recently he did a recording session with Cee Lo Green and it was amazing. I guess some of the guys from Yonder Mountain String band are currently working with him. So let's post some of your favorites from this show here.

Here's one of my favorites with Cee Lo Green

Ok this one is damn good too.
Time Tough with Toots

Thanks for posting this ! Jamaica is my favorite place on the planet. The music is non stop, and the food is incredible. I will be back there soon. Toots is the man!

Granted the shows are only a 1/2hr so they don't bother showing the hours spent
rehearsing up the songs. To a non-musician, it's as though some famous singer
just shows up at Daryl's house, they plug in and everyone flawlessly just knows each others songs.
If I were called for a gig in a situation like this, I'd expect to get the setlist a week or two in advance and have at most one rehearsal before the taping.

A few of the episodes were pretty cool. Kinda bothers me how they change the feel of some of the songs. For instance Roadhouse Blues with Ray and Robby. I guess it's all in good fun though and regardless it's nice to see a couple Doors play live again. Not a fan at all of Hall and Oates.

I'll have to look up their version Roadhouse Blues but that link was to them doing "Break on Through" and it sounded like a pretty straight (and good) rendition.
