Low Down Sound Club V3

Bottom line is you're mixing two speakers with different phase characteristics and grossly different midrange character, and grossly different sensitivity, grossly different power handling capabilities, and running them full range. It's like running a 1x15 and a 1x10 together full range basically. Terrible idea.

I'm getting ready to join this club! Don called me today and said he's finishing up my 2x15 cab...
It'll have the non-LF 3015's in it. No tweet/no mid- old timey-except for the weight. Don said it weighs in at just over 50lbs. :hyper: I'm an old man and I need a big light cab!
I'll post pics when I get it.

Just got it. Looks fantastic. Can't wait to hear it. 62 lbs on our recently calibrated scale at work.

pretty big diff b/t 50 and 62lbs.
Looks great, and I bet it's gonna work well for what you wanted.

Yeah, I thought Don might have been being overly optimistic with the "just over 50 lbs" estimate when we talked just before the cab shipped. But I think on the initial quote he said it would be about 65 lbs.
I'm a pretty big guy- I can actually one hand it for short distances- and casters are on the way.
I can already tell I like moving it better than the two 45-50 lb cabs I had before.

Now, let's all hope it sounds great......

Should be a happy match:p

My LDS 212HO with xd125 horn is my go to cab now. Those HO 12's really sound sweet and the 18Sound horn puts a nice top end on it. Here's a pic.

That's still crazy light for a 2X15! How are you liking it?

I'm liking it a lot-it took a while for the speakers to loosen up and sound right. Just basement use so far so no gig reports . You know how it goes- the loud band I wanted to use this cab with imploded before it was delivered. No complaints- I like the tone more than the two bag end s15 d's that I had before- and those are great sounding cabs!

GBwLDS.JPG Not sure why I get an error if I upload his photo without shrinking it so tiny, but anyway this is Genx benz Shuttle MAX 6.0 with my LDS cabs with Mojotone Plum Tolex. The bass is one of my Bluebond 6 strings from about 1990. It is Serial number 001 from before Dale got tragically killed in a car crash in the mid 90's. It is a great axe and a great rig!
