Yes I know the mid and horn are too far apart. This is my current setup. LDS 15/6/1 & 15/6. They sound very nice together as well as separate.

I like the disclaimer. I bet they sound pretty freakin' great.
After reading your nightmare story with Dr. Bass, I'm glad you've got and are enjoying a couple of Don's cabs.

Because Jpegs are limited to 1200 by 1200 or 2 MB max...

When you click the "Manage Attachments" button, there's a chart titled "Attachment Key" that shows you how small files need to be to attach them directly. You can always get a free account with Photobucket or similar that allows larger photos.

I presume resting the amp where you did adds some bottom!

Thanks! I just wish I would have found Don first instead of Marc. I've had four cabinets and an amp modified by Don. His work is top notch!

I have reconstituted the rig that I loved the best to play out: an LDS 15/6 (bought in new condition from Sactobass in the TB classifieds-thanks) and my M9. Selling my old LDS 15/6 was dumb, but I have recovered. This setup sounds so satisfying it makes me feel home. This one is the taller version (my old one was the squat format) and the build quality is superb. I put 3" casters on it and I'm rollin'
Don, you build some great cabs.

Yeah, good on ya Lomo. I really prefer the taller form factor of the 30 inch cabs.

My 15/6 has killed any GAS for other cabs.

My LDS 4x8 and 1x15 stack has killed my GAS for cabs too! Now about that Aguilar TLC Compressor to add to the pedal board...

Hmmmmm... not sure, 10 o'clock maybe? You'll notice I'm using both input channels as well - I use my TU-2 to split my signal with one channel getting effects and the other channel remaining clean, then I mix it at the amp (gain on the effects channel is set lower than that of clean).

The eminence low throw ceramic 8s. I got the last 4 off his pallet. 1 will be a spare. He said that 's it for these speakers....doesn't want to buy the 100 minimum... The cab will be 5.3 ohms. Had a Henry 8x8 years ago...loved the 8 tone, this thing should be fun...

Don mentioned he's packing the shop up in October... Plan is to move west soon after.

So maybe not a good time to order a cab from him?

I'm about ready to have a cab built. Fender styling to go along with my Bassman 100. Going for a simple 1 way cab, and thinking about a sealed 4x10. The bassman is pretty heavy on the low end, so I am thinking sealed is the way to go. Have also thought about a 2x12, but think the 4x10 would allow for more volume overall.

I guess it really all depends on the speakers and cab design... which I don't know much about. I know I like things simple - bass, amp, and speakers.

Any thoughts or suggestions for speakers, cab design, etc would be appreciated.
