LowEndLobster tone... how?

First off, I'm a complete noob and clueless when it comes to the settings on my amp beyond the bare basics. I'm looking for some direction on how to get that punchy, crunchy tone LowEndLobster gets from a p-style or Stingray bass. I thought it was just inherent to a P-bass so I picked one up and it sounds nothing like it and honestly not any different than my HH Yamaha. Due to the aforementioned cluelessness I have no idea how to EQ my amp for that tone or if that's even the issue. I have a Boss Katana 110 which supposedly can "do it all" (probably bit off more than I could chew there) so hopefully it's achievable. I was just going to return the P but figured I'd ask in here first. Thanks for any help in advance!

If the only way for you to hear this bass is this tiny amp with a single 10” speaker, then don’t expect it to shake your walls…

OP, don't let posts like this convince you to buy a different amp. The sound you're looking for will be found in your hands and not through X brand of amp with at least Y watts and and Z inch speakers.

I use the Katana 110 as a practice amp and it can do anything I want. Definitely shakes the walls. It's perceivably louder than my Rumble 100, possibly due to the addition of the horn, or some other amp magic I don't understand. Let your ears guide you, not numbers or specs.

Heyo! Yeah my setup has always been bass->combo amp (previously orange crush 50 bxt, now ampeg rocket 50)->interface (previously focusrite, now volt276). I don't do any post processing. I do always put on a fresh set of SIT Foundation Nickels Gauges 45-105(125) for all of my videos unless I'm using flats (the flats I use are labella 760FS). I don't do any EQing in my videos on the amp, everything is set at noon. My first recommendation would be to change out the strings! The foundation nickels have a nice bright character to them that IMO really does a good job of bringing out the personality of the instruments I play. They have a little looseness to them which allows me to really fine tune my attack and bends. I hope that helps! I'm humbled that you'd want to sound like me :)

I think it's great that you don't do any post processing shenanigans for bass reviews. Nothing worse than a bunch of OD, comp, or whatever added when someone is reviewing a bass. Also nice you're using a pretty humble amp--not some high-falutin' boutiquey wonder.
To clarify, are you mic'ing the amp? Or are you taking a DI from said amp? Or...are you blending mic'd amp and DI signals? If mic'ing the amp/cab, what mic?
I especially appreciated your comparison of 60's vs 70's Jazz pickup spacing, BTW--good stuff.
