Markbass' MoMark site is up

How about you tell the guy who brought it up in the first place in this thread instead of me? I was minding my own business and the dude took a shot at me, to which I responded. Same with you.

Don't want to get me going, don't get me going. Simple as that, dude.

His joking statement directed at 100 people, myself included, does not qualify as "taking a shot" at you or anyone else. I don't even see how anyone could rationally look at it that way.

Just wanted to let you know that even though I let it go for a day, I got it. And it was so funny that I nearly had a brain hemorrhage from not laughing so much. Now if Markbass had a contest where you have to prove myself worthy to them, and then was informed that you aren't, then in the same email you get a sales pitch and a lame coupon for a free footswitch if you buy something from them, you would have a point. As it stands, though, it was just a lame attempt at humor at my expense over a totally unrelated thing. You must learn how to keep your comedy pure.

Wow... not sure what you got out of my totally benign post, but you obviously took something from it that wasn't put in to begin with.

There's obviously some historical event that you think I'm referring to, and I don't mind telling you that I haven't the first clue who you are, what gear you use, or what your feelings are towards anything MarkBass has ever done. Unless, of course, it genuinely offends you that I have a joking grudge against all the people who got to the site in time to get free stuff. In which case, you probably just need to get off the internet.

Now... back to talking about the MoMark. Do we have any idea when pricing info is gonna be released?

I was looking at the new pedals today and read that most people only use the vle and vpf knobs anyway (which is true for me because i eq on my bass) so i built mine with hi-end ss pre no eq and both filters, line out and master controls. now i just need to find out how much i need to sell my kidney for.... :hmm:

I just had a MP for the price of my MoMonster and I think it will be interesting for everyone here:

It really depends on the modules you choose because the S1 and T1M preamps have not the same price. It's the same for each module.
There is an important thing to understand: choose a big markbass head (~900€ and more) and make it throught the MoMark concept, it will really be less expansive.

I wanted a sexier R500, so I choose an analogic 500W power amp, with tube pre, EQ42S (with more features) and a complete master with VLE and VPF.

The result is just amazing. It's like having a R500 with steroids and upgraded for more versatility :hyper: .

If I could build an amp, I would build a MoMark!! It's really exciting to be a bass player with this kind of products. The design is really cool. And when I mute my amp, the yellow slides make the show.

my setup is cheaper than their LMIII

the basic I would get cost 713 british pounds (around 1200$ CAD)

500 watt power frame
Item Number 500 watt p £529.00 GBP
MVVL Master Module
Item Number MVVL Maste £83.00 GBP
EQ0 EQ Module
Item Number EQ0 EQ Mod £42.99 GBP
S1M Solid State Pre Amp Module
Item Number S1M Solid £59.00 GBP
Subtotal: £713.99 GBP
Postage & Packing: £0.00 GBP

Figured I'd put this here as well.

Email from MB to me:

We’ll add the specifics on the website soon, including the locator with the list of selected dealers where you can find the MoMark.

The size is the same for all the frames:

DEPTH
10.63 in. / 27.0 cm
WIDTH
12.99 in. / 33.0 cm
HEIGHT
3.23 in. / 82 mm

Weight:

Amp Frame 250 3,1Kg / 6.83lbs

Amp Frame 500 3,4Kg / 7.5 lbs

Amp Frame 600 3,2Kg / 7.05lbs

Amp Frame 800 3,2Kg / 7.05lbs

Any module weights different, from 130gr (0.28 lbs) to 180gr (0.39 lbs), the weight of the complete MoMark amp depends from the choices but as you can see it’s light as well as the other Markbass heads.

Prices are set by the distributor in your country, so you will have to contact them for this info.

But generally the MoMark prices depend on how simple or complex the modules you choose are... but to give you an example, if you make an SD 800 using the MoMark system, it will actually be cheaper than an SD 800! So the prices will be in the same range as our other heads.

Neat! That's considerably smaller than I thought they'd be.

So, basically a bit under an inch deeper and three inches wider than the LM series of heads, and adding a couple or few pounds. Not bad I guess if one of the many heads in the MB line doesn't line up to your spec needs.

And, the pricing info is very impressive. I would have guessed they would charge a premium for the modularity! Nice!
