Mesa Boogie Walkabout Mega-thread Part 10

Just scored myself an old original 15" Silver face combo in good condition. I am a huge mesa bass fan having owned a Bigblock for many years with a PH610 and I still love my godly PH 8x10. Keen to try the WA with the 8x10 for fun! Always wanted one of these combos as an alternative to lugging a 80kg 8x10 and still having the flexibility of using different cabs than the combo. Excited to plug it in which will still be a few weeks away.

I’ve gigged my WA 12 in 500 capacity rooms and with PA support it was fine. The down firing port is a nice touch allowing for more stage volume than a typical cabinet that small.

Dang! I have both a PH610 and a PH810, and I have not tried any of my WalkAbouts with either of those cabs. I think I need to try this!

I find this mildly shocking… if you have a WA, a PH 610 and a PH 810 how do you NOT try them together? HA!

I think you'll be surprised bordering on impressed...but mileage does vary....

I think you might be surprised by how many amps and cabs @tombowlus actually has.
