[Minneapolis/MN Thread] Where's the "beer" thread icon?

I almost come from the Northern Iron Range by way of a grandparent from Finland. And as a child, Bemidji's Paul Bunyan and Babe were of great interest when heading around to some old lake resorts with the folken. I've enjoyed a little time in Minneapolis as well.

I do however need to see a Coen Brothers flick about Minnesota that rivals FARGO before I can again consider travel there.

Gordy is great on DB. I've seen him many times and have some of his CDs.

My parents lived in Hibbing and rented an apartment from the Zimmerman's around 1964. My dad said he once asked Mr. Zimmerman what he thought of his son's music and he replied something like "Robert isn't a very good singer".

Hey guys... been out here in MSP for a while. Playing with some guys out in Waconia. Oldies and some country.

Thinking of trying my hand (ha) at Rockabilly DB. Anyone know of local shops beside Groth that might have some double bass's?

I can't help you on a double bass but I have to brag. I played my first DB last Saturday night. The two hour lesson really wore out my fretting hand.

Now I need to get my buddy to get his '39 Kay together.
