You get them on Fox Sports Wisconsin, which we do not get here. I have to wait until they play the Marlins or the Rays, or they are on one of the national channels. I do have the MLB app where I can listen to the radio broadcast, which is awesome, but I like to see them once in a while.

Yes, you could say that. It's a great ballpark and fun to attend, or the management would have been forced to change its ways by now.

I went to the games Monday and Tuesday with a couple long time buddies. We all jumped on the M's bandwagon in '95, so were reminiscing about that season and the few before and after. Ayala, Schooler, Mike Jackson, that bullpen was something else back then. I wonder if Norm Charlton can be lured out of retirement.

I came out here from NYC in August 1987, and one of the first things I did was go to a Mariners game. The Kingdome was empty, but it was a whole lot of fun anyway. There was a guy right behind me, which was odd, because there couldn't have been more than about 1500 people in the whole place, including players. The guy behind me was irate at one of the Mariners players, and would yell "YOU BUM" at him at least twice per inning. It was a little microcosm of the rowdy behavior New York fans are known for, and I immediately felt right at home. No Seattle polite nonsense. I have been hooked ever since.

The name Bobby Ayala still gives me ulcers!

22 runs for Boston Saturday, even though Seattle sent Felix Hernandez to the mound. 15 runs Friday.

Yeah, this is a bad year for baseball in Seattle. Probably the end of the road for the manager and GM soon. Bummer too, I like McClendon.

I'm old enough to remember Lloyd McClendon as a gritty, grind-it-out, Workingmans' ball player. He was always the guy with the dirtiest uniform in the National League. Loved him then...love him now.
This game we love has never been fair, in the truest sense of that word.
"Fair" between the lines? No sport is truer.
"Fair" in any other way... No.
