I think the Mets are really missing Marte. No more of every player getting rest, and everybody's pressing to compensate.
That gets the Mariners' magic number down to one, I believe. The Jays have officially clinched a Wild Card spot--and they didn't even play today! Somehow that seems fitting of the 2022 season. Don't play and you can't loseThank you Boston for beating the O's today

The M's moved a half-game ahead of Tampa in the WC seeding last night. And they have an extra game left to play compared to Toronto and Tampa. And their last seven games are against Oakland and Detroit. String some wins together here and maybe Seattle is not the team travelling to Cleveland for the WC Series. That gets the Mariners' magic number down to one, I believe.
Only thing is that traveling to Cleveland might be the best option. I want to see the Mariners take on New York. They have a history of playing the Yankees in the playoffs and doing well. They also have a recent history of beating the Yankees in New York and have a lousy record against the Astros in Houston. The M's moved a half-game ahead of Tampa in the WC seeding last night. They punched their postseason ticket in walk-off fashion!Today could be magical in Seattle.
No backing in for this team. They punched their postseason ticket in walk-off fashion!
Even with the expanded playoffs, the best race is Mets/Braves - especially since the winner gets almost a week off to rest and set up the rotation.
