People will be wearing black until they find a darker color....
This is amazing news for goths.
But... I AM a biker, LOLAs a heavy metal/punk dude entering his 50th year on the planet, I am so sick of black clothing. ANYTHING but all black. Regardless of genre, the all-black stage uniform is so boring. Too many people assume that a splash of color is going to make them look bad somehow. Instead, we have 10,000 bands looking like a bunch of bikers or waiters.
I agree shorts are not good stagewear and I look down on other musicians who have worn shorts on a gig. I only wore shorts to a gig once because it was outdoors and effectively 103° with high humidity and I simply had to ventilate to stay alive. As opposed to shorts on stage!
Good, I could use the raise.CAUTION!!!
if you wear black, you might get mistaken for a roadie or stagehand and get put to work!
Once had a front woman demand I replace my yellow sweater towel because she claimed it was distracting the audience (from her).
Honestly. Black clothes have been standard musician-wear like forever.
Good one!People will be wearing black until they find a darker color....
