I'll hazard a guess based on the above picture that new preamp does not replace the M-80, since MXR have placed both on their display board. Interesting.
I had a chance to play with it at BPL and it definitely IS NOT meant as a replacement for the M80. The Bass Preamp focuses on your clean tone and is a studio quality DI/Preamp with sweepable midrange. It is an extremely detailed and articulate EQ/DI in a small footprint.
There is NO comparison!The mid controls alone make it a winner over the BDDI, for me.

Other than distortion and size, what would be the difference between this and M-80?
