Recently swapped in a Fender Original 62 for the P and a Fender Vintage 75 for the J.
Sometimes it looks like little faces and other times, the cross section of a kidney.That grain is hypnotic. I could go into a trance looking at that!
My go to bass - Frankenfender. I desperately wanted a Seafoam green P Bass and couldn't find one.
Hence this - Body by Warmoth, the rest by Fender. I put it together, got to experience the fun of covering the cavity with copper tape (a real PITA), and I love it.

Still, it's the white, passive, short scale Sterling Stingray. Played my new 34" P for a month but the Stingray remains #1.
Well, I have a current #1 and a long term #1. Current 1 changes somewhat frequently. Long term 1 hasn’t changed in over 35 years

Amazing....and I'm extremely jealous.

I made an error, the CD I have is George Winston, not George Duke. Sorry for the mistake.I have a CD of George Duke playing all the Charlie Brown music on solo piano. Thanksgiving has always been my favorite. I took that CD camping once and some kids came to our campsite wondering where the cartoons were.

#1. I have an order in for a Cliff Bordwell, which I can't wait for. But this will always be the bass I'm practicing for, if that makes sense.

Was never a Fender guy til I got this bass. It's now everything I was searching for (in a 4 string). Will probably be a lifer.
My American Original 60s Precision with LaBella flats. Ridiculously low action on this amazingly straight neck. Feels so perfect, sounds amazing, lightweight, beautiful retro look.
