Can't wait for mine to get here, I can only assume a 1212/6/1 will be similarly stunningly stupidly loud. :)

And as a guy running a Monique, it's encouraging to hear a "sounds great" report from a guy that runs a Reiner, not to mention Classic 400s & whatnot!

I'm 1st in line at the retailer I went with (for a great price), but they obviously weren't first in line with Peavey's supply chain, Lol.

Does "center" in this case refer to where the effect of the shelving controls levels off? If I'm interpreting the spec correctly, "cutting highs by 10 dB" would be -3 dB at 2.4 KHz, -10 dB at 16 KHz and above, and gradually increasing over the distance (a little over two-and-a-half octaves) between. Is that correct? Does the "sharpness" of the corner depend on how much the filter's dialed in? And are the filters symmetrical in boost and cut?

The high and low bands are sort of pseudo shelving. The filters are basically a parametric type, but the parameters are locked. The Q is set low for wide bandwidth. By center of 16KHz, I mean that's the actual center of the filter band

When I say -3dB, I mean from center, so if you set the high eq level to -10dB, you would be -7dB at 2.4KHz. If you set it to +10dB, you would be +7dB at 2.4KHz.

Technically, the sharpness of the corner increases at maximum boost and cut because of the filter type, but not significantly.

Boost and cut range is symmetrical.

Thanks for clarifying Bobby. That actually makes a lot more sense than how I was reading it. I could see that sounding great.

I was floored by the sound of the sonic farm/mas project amp, but quickly found my feet and ran away from the 2k price tag....im sure its worth it, but im never gona have that kinda cash to throw at something i play 3 times a week....im sure 2k is nothing for a serious gigging muscian

I think I paid about $1500 16-17 years ago for my Glockenklang and I had been gigging over 300+ dates a year for some time. So even though I thought it was a huge sum for an amp I never regretted it. In fact I hardly ever thought about it again. Now this amp seems cheap, almost a steal, price wise in comparison. Then throw in the MF 20% off deal makes it a "stupid deal of the day" at $479.

Also giving an idea of what the NY Kosmos controls do, with a smaller cab such as a Bassic, would be great. If it's not too troublesome, that is. Thanks either way. :)

I will do some clips with the Kosmos, but I will say that the bassic isn't what I would consider a "small" cab. It isn't large for sure, but it doesn't compromise in the same way most small cabs do.

As long as people are requesting clips, I'll ask for one with no filters engaged and EQ flat as a reference point. If you happen to be recording D.I., rather than micing the cab, I'll add to that a request for the bass recorded directly to the interface, as a reference point for the previous reference point. ;)
