Name a band that NO ONE likes...

I don't hate DMB, but a little sure does go a long way for me...
Im pretty sure there’s an entire dorm of kids at FSU or some such place that trade Hootie bootlegs.

just to put it in perspective I remember when I was in college a bunch of freshman moved into my dorm and they were all big Dave Matthews fans. After a week I realized it was time to move off campus.

Well.
I could say bands like Vollbeat and White Stripes but this is a thread about what individual people don’t like.
Yes I don’t like Kiss either but watch them sell out stadiums so.....
Interesting about White Stripes. I liked them when they came out, and while I don't go out of my way to listen to them now, I still dig it when I hear one of their tunes on the radio or something.

Well, maybe not YOU personally, but when I’m trying to find my way to a concert and the address turns out to be a burned-out warehouse with three people waiting around, I know I’m in the right place. You know what I mean?

I’ve been listening to these guys a lot lately:

The Murder Junkies? Legend has it that Dee Dee Ramone showed up for a rehearsal and noped straight out of it.

I worked with a member of the Antiseen back in the day and the stories about that whole scene made it a low priority for me to engage with.

In the thread about bands that everyone likes I said there is no such thing as a band that everyone likes. Same is true for this thread. If no one liked the band, they wouldn't be successful.

The band I posted above will send you a copy of both their 12” LP’s for $5 total. You can’t deny that they are effective at what they set out to do, but it’s hard not to describe them as a band that “nobody likes,” even if you’re a fan.

I actually liked Imagine Dragons first album, but that most recent one was total garbage. It was like he wrote the songs while standing at the counter while the coffee maker brewed. I can see it now (writes the word "Thunder"...looks at the coffee drip...looks at the paper...writes "Feel the Thunder" and "7x" declares the song to be done while he pours a cup. )
My 7-year-old daughter loves that song.

I can't stand it and constantly joke with my wife about the insipid lyrics. I think you nailed the writing process for the song. What I don't get it is, who thought that stupid cartoony voice would make the song BETTER?

Every time that song makes its way through my daughter's playlist, I want to rip my hair out and scream.

Damnit, I want to rip my hair out and scream just thinking about the song!!:rage::rage::rage::rage:

Does Crazy Frog count? How about Pretty Ricky? Smash Mouth?

There's a bunch of bands I really want to put on this list, but it's hard because they released one album I quite liked, so I thought they were good. Then they released more (and more) albums that I thought all sucked. I'm sure a lot of people will disagree with me on at least some of these, but; Spin Doctors, Bush (yeah, I said it), Collective Soul, Hootie and the Blowfish, Matchbox Twenty, Coldplay (yeah, said that too), Maroon 5...
I think Smash Mouth is an excellent candidate. A successful band but does anyone actually like them? I think no.

Creed.

(I was gonna say Rage Against The Machine but there are even "more disliked" bands than them.)
