i may slap once or twice during most gigs, occasionally i might do it as many as 5 times if the band does more 70's/80's ;) but i agree that slapping is actually a good way to try out an amp so you can test the limits of its high end. sure is annoying in a music store, though.

I'm going to work on a slap version of "Stairway to Heaven". That would be perfect for the music store.

you think that limits opportunities? you also have to be good looking and have a lot of money behind you. there was almost a time in music when ugly people could make it. those days are over. and don't throw susan boyle at me. good luck getting that to happen again.

honestly, it's a wonder we get any work at all. none of us are a day at the beach. i'm by far the nicest one of our band, too, and i'm a cynical a-hole :bassist:

They were a work in progress-he barely had time to put them together for the booth, but really nice electronics and great low B strings. Really nice guy, too. I'm definitely staying in touch with him.
Kicking myself that I didn't spend any time at Ritter or Watson-there's just not enough time to do everthing

Those guys from Fibenare are a hoot! They are also an extremely talented group of (mostly) brothers. They make ALL of their own components, including bridges, pickups, preamps, etc. That is pretty amazing. And their basses look sooooooo darned good. They play quite well, too!
