NBD: Elrickque Iglesias

Very nice! You have had many "basically perfecto" basses over the last few years. It's always nice to see them!
Haha, yeah. I do too much. But it’s been really fun playing so many basses. I’ve really learned what I like, what’s worth the money and what’s not.

This particular bass is special because I was able to choose every feature I’ve liked on various other Elricks and put them all into one perfect bass. I’m very pleased with how this turned out.

“Elrickque” you say?

¡Sí!

When I ordered this bass last year, Elrick basses were handcarved in Chicago, IL USA. By the time it was done, Elrick had relocated to his new shop in Valencia, Spain. It added a little time to the build but it was worth the wait.

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love Rob Elrick’s work. I’ve owned a number of his basses over the years and they always hit their marks. With this order, I wanted something classic that I would play for a long time. I went 35” scale, passive with Aero dual-coil pickups, swamp ash body with a holly top, maple neck with a macassar ebony board.

It’s basically perfecto. Take a look…

The curves on that bass are simply elegant. I hope you enjoy that bass many years in great health.

I’m a huge fan of the NJS. Had three, and sold em, but I’m working on getting another.
I have a beautiful Elrick NJS. It is stellar.
