NBD: Kiesel IC5 :-(

Logical Fallacy - Ad Hominem attack.
I have displayed no attitude and am in fact very professional, pleasant, and courteous.
For example, I dont blurt out “dillhole” to somebody and passive aggressively say that a person deserved getting hing up on.

Are you a Kiesel shill, like Viking Bass?
Or are you just a confrontational person?
I ask because there was nothing constructive in your reactionary post.

Calling someone a "kiesel shill" is not nice. You're being rude.

This thread seems to be going the way of people just getting together to talk trash about kiesel because of their preconceived notions, and that's not really fair. You're having an unpleasant experience, and some other people have as well. (Just like any place that produces a product) That does not mean the whole company is trying to rip their customers off.

Again, I'm sorry you're having a bad time.

Isn't if funny how some people can't see their own hypocrisy in such a short statement?

Really solid solution for you is to keep scrolling. That's what I try to do when I don't care for something.

Kiesel doesn't take 10 months to build. It's usually between 2.5 and 3. That's one of the great things about their production model. Relatively fast, compared to some other custom/semi custom builders. I think the most I have seen them quote is 14 weeks. And I could be wrong about that.

Raw tone finish is non-returnable, because light or superficial wear from 10 trial, is not reparable to like new condition. To return it to like new, they would have to completely finish the instrument. Which is too much labor. Also, for something like Ash where the large grain patterns can show through on a raw tone finish: A refinish would likely spray differently and look different from the first time.

Gloss and satin poly are sanded and/or buffed back to like new. Tung oil can be spot conditioned and re-oiled, rather easily.

P.S. If you ever ship a Kiesel product back To Kiesel, ask them for a pre-paid label. Even if you have to pay it.
To ship on my own, I would be lucky to ship under $75, for a bass (and it has usually been in the 80's when I have shipped basses). Kiesel's shipping price is much better.

I asked for one, thats when I was hung up on.
I actually only paid $80.00 to ship to Alaska. I think they shipped FedEx. I asked for UPS but they wouldn't do it. Have no idea why the customer, who pays for shipping, cant decide who ships our stuff!! Frustrating to say the least!

So at this point...what is happening with the bass?
Are you shipping it back? I know you got hung up on, but that was like a week ago. Then you sent an email “ATTN Jeff” and got a response to that from Joe Stone, who said they’ll look at it and you have a 5-yr warranty.
Did you re-establish communication and get it a return ship label? It seems like this thread got to the point of calling each other “shills” and “dill-holes” with nowhere else to go...

I'm curious as well. I hope he gets this figured out. I'm hoping this entire thing has been a simple misunderstanding. The name calling is a bit over the top. Picture me at Benni Hannah with a MaiTai, here's to getting this resolved in everyone's favor!!!!

Bass Viking,
I dont see how the burden of proof falls on me to appease your curiosities. Especially when you are a Kiesel shill who lives on the Kiesel forum, becrying any of us TB’ers who voice our unresolved issues with Kiesel.
To me, its not worth the $25 to purchase the TSSR — TS adapter I need to give you an audio demonstration.
Sorry that you cant imagine a company like Kiesel having QC and CS issues even though I listed at KieselBBS a bunch of threads demonstrating Kiesel’s issues and lack of integrity since Jeff came to power.

I`m hardly the only one who asked to hear sound clips. Spend your money as you wish but it seems to me that $25 is a drop in the bucket compared to what you spent on the bass.

I can travel to Sacramento or San Fran.

Feel free to donate to the cause of your curiosity.
I already know how it sounds...im on damage control mode now - no motivation to spend a penny more; especially for someone who doesnt support my view.

Agreed. Its not like youre being picky or mulling over the finest details and nuances of sound. You said you got a bunk bass.... and in my personal experience... they have put out plenty of those. So I take you at your word.
