b-15 fans are unconcerned with two things...power and weight. if you want power and light weight, buy something else.
This!!!! I'm one of those people. But it just so happens that 25-30w would be perfect for my current gig.

I'll be honest - sometimes 25 watts isn't quite enough for me onstage. When it isn't, I'll just add the B-100R for extra stage volume, and I'll mic the B15 for FOH. Since I've started to proactively mic it up before the soundman can hand me a DI - I've had nothing but compliments.
Out of curiosity, what mic do you use? I've been thinking about adding a bass mic to my personal arsenal.

Hey guys,
Haven't read the whole thread yet.

ya, i agree. i really like the 421 a lot, but i'm an re 20/pr 40 guy. re 20 right on the cab, or pr 40 about 3-4 inches away.I usually use an EV RE20 or Heil PR40 for bass amps. A p-bass through a B-15 mic'd with one of these is the sound of bass IMO.

ain't that the truth??? the re 20 is a big bulky dude. pr 40's a good bit smaller, though, and if you back it off the cab a few inches, it sounds a lot like an re 20.RE20 is my second favorite. It's really close between the 421/RE20 - I just love the 421 for that little bit of fatness it adds to the Motown sound. The RE20 is also really big and heavy, and doesn't like to stay in position on my mic stand.
