New Traynor Dyna Bass combos

I saaw a store on ebay claiming to have the dynabass combos, but they only seem to ship to USA...its called "proaudiostar" on ebay...the store that is...

I've owned a lot of Traynors over the years: Bassmates, Bass Masters, Mark II, Custom Special, Guitar Mate Reverb, Reverb Master - quite possibly over 10 of them. All older than 1973 though, which is off-topic for the matter at hand. I've been on gigs with Yorkvilles and played with them in the shops.
I've had a good impression of the mid-90's and on. I haven't dealt with after about 1973. The "modern" stuff has been excellent bang for the buck. If I were in the market I'd definitely check them out. I'll probably check out the combos at any rate.
Yet another +1 to the best kept secret sentiment.

We have a DB200 in the store right now...but it's on a layaway, so we haven't been able to play it. I was suitably impressed with the prototype I played a few months back. We should have more, plus the DB50 and DB100, shortly.
I liked the DB50 and DB100s I played, and actually preferred the tone of the DB50, though both were good. The DB100 was good and loud, cut really nice on an acoustic bass gig I took it out on. These were both protos, but I'm sure the production line will sound the same or better.
The store I'm waiting on is "Jim Harm's: My Music Store" in Golden Valley. Western Minneapolis suburb. They are a small store and they carry some of the traynor guitar stuff and occasionally have had yorkville combos. I'm waiting on a call I made asking if they would at least get in a few of the smaller DB combos.
I'm sure I'll post here if I get a chance to hear/buy one.
I've owned a XM200 (1x15) before, and I currently own a XM50. How would you compare the sound of the DB200, DB50, etc to the earlier XM series? I'm really interested in the DB100 as a replacement for my XM50.

today I went to a "music-go-round" to check out a used xm100 ($300) and a yorkville 200b ($180) (older black N Blue model). I actually preferred the tone of the 200b over the newer xm100. Both had a contour circuit, but the speaker in the 200b had a more rounded tone. now, maybe the xm100 would "cut-through" better, but the 200b could probably be tweeked to cut through...
This experience reinforces my previous experience with other yorkville (black N Blue) models. Today I actually ended up purchasing a yorkville 400b head for $150
now I just have to find a good deal on a cab!

OH, another point...
TODAY (10/2/07) one of the other local "music-go-round" stores checked to see when they could get the new DB50 or DB100. the sales person said "in store" oct 22nd. $259 db50 and $359 db100
I hope they're worth the wait...

I tried to buy the DB50 off of proaudiostar's ebay page today, and after the PayPal transaction went through I got an email from the proprietor apologizing and saying that the amp won't be out for "two months" but that he would give me a discount on the XM50C. No thanks...(I know it's a nice little combo, but I'm looking for 18lbs.)
Yeah. I've been "on the list" for months to get a call when the new Dynabss 50s and 100s came in. I couldn't wait any longer so I just bought a new GK MB150S. More than twice the price of course, but what a great sound. And only 26 lbs.
