I'm delighted that Cougar right tackle Abe Lucas was drafted by the Seahawks and should be a starter in game one. He's a local to the Seattle area, and I hope they have him at right tackle for more than a decade.

Cornerback Jaylen Watson went to the Chiefs in Round 7.

Running back Max Borghi went to the Colts as a free agent, receiver Travell Harris signed with the Browns, former Coug receiver Tay Martin signed a free agent deal with the 49ers, and safety Skyler Thomas signed with the Chargers.

All in all, a good day for Coug standouts.

24th lawsuit filed against Deshaun Watson, this one has corroboration, and the MT left the profession. This guy is a predator, ruining lives in search of his next victim. Enough is enough. I say suspend him until the cases are brought to resolution, but I know that will never happen because the NFL must protect it's predators and criminals. They have made this quite clear.

Also, Browns gonna Browns. The insaniac contract they signed with him, if the NFL gives him a one year suspension, he only gives up $1,000,000 of his $230,000,000 guaranteed package.

Yep. The contract for Watson was written cleverly so as to avoid a harsh financial penalty if the NFL decides to suspend him. I think that contract was the doing of the Browns and Watson's agent.
Despicable.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I have to think any self respecting Browns fan is embarrassed by this contract and the Watson signing in the first place.

As a person who grew up rooting for the Browns, the whole thing makes me disgusted. I thought Baker Mayfield had a bad year last year, but that was all. They gave up on him too soon and made a huge mistake that's going to chain them to a turkey for a long, long time. They seem to have been drinking too much polluted water.

I don't like Mayfield, but he did things for that Browns team that haven't been done in the lifetime of some Browns fans. It is a shame they kicked him off to the curb in favor of this joker Watson.
Every other NFL team identified the big giant, screaming, red flag that came out of Houston when Watson basically said 'I don't want to play for you', and they said 'OK buddy. Just sit over there and wait a while'.

At least now it's pretty obvious why the Browns didn't cut Mayfield. I wonder what happens if Watson gets suspended for a year, then convicted and sent up river for the remainder of his contract. Are the Browns still on the hook even if he's in prison and cannot play? Whether or not they are on the hook, it is Mayfield's team again. How is Mayfield going to respond to that? What a mess.

There are no criminal cases, only civil suits, so jail time isn't in the cards unless something else surfaces. Part of the gamble the Browns are taking is whether Watson will continue to do stupid despicable things.

The pattern of a serial predator is obvious. He is a serial predator. Today's charge was just too much, and the apologists even worse. "Why was the session at her house?! Huh?"

Because a lot of private practice MTs have working space in their homes. I have been to a lot more than one, and it would never cross my mind to stand naked holding my junk. This is victim shaming 101. I don't care if he can score as the only offensive player on the field against a full 11. I'd ban him for life, but the NFL does not care. No offense is too offensive. I hope the browns suck forever. Oh wait... :whistle:

Yep.
The future of Watson now rests in the hands of Roger Goodell, and since Watson is a money maker for the NFL, he'll be playing again before too long.
