I hope this works out. Steen seems to be struggling under Ron Wilson, and Carlo Coliacovo has yet to play an injury free season. It could work out well for both teams. We had to get rid of a defensman and Carlo was the odd man out. I wish Alex and Carlo well in St. Louis and obviously Lee in Toronto.

I hope this works out. Steen seems to be struggling under Ron Wilson, and Carlo Coliacovo has yet to play an injury free season. It could work out well for both teams. Meh... I watch game, but I heard about the OT penalty. Didn't see the highlights yet, so I can't make a comment, but at least they got a point out of it. It's a shame the Flyers didn't pummel the crap out of Avery.
That's the bad thing about an Eastern Time Zone team being in the Western conference - too many late night games. And if the wife is being frisky, she's going to win out over hockey every time.
I went to the game last night in Vancouver. I just got home about two hours ago. This was my second trip to BC to see the RW's.
Maybe these Canuckleheads ain't so bad after all. They went over to the Igloo and put a hurting on the Pens last week.

Looks like the Sharks signed Clod LePew to a tryout contract.

This surprises me with the way the Sharks are clicking. I know Clod has a history of cranking it up in the playoffs, which is an example that the Sharks imho could learn from. Still, I wonder how its going to affect the locker room chemistry.
If he sticks, I wonder if McCarty will try to dance with him again for old time's sake.

Moore put Naslund out for 3 games on a hockey play. Bertuzzi ended Moore's Career with a cheap shot. Not cool. I don't really care for Bertuzzi.
On the topic of ugly hits. Had he not left his feet it might have been a hockey play but Steve Downie got a hefty suspension for this hit on Dean McAmmond Last Season (Preseason).
Page 64 is the page your looking for concerning Boarding. A lot of it is referee discretion and they make it clear that it is a players responsibility to not put himself in that position and it is also the checkers responsibility to let up if he sees a player in that position.

This is my first post this year. You see, The Stars, who actually were in the conference finals last year, are now the worst team in the NHL.
For those looking for any learned analysis as to why this has happened, can't really help. Bad defense, worse goaltending, and the Stars never have been a team that will outscore you, so there you go.
And this weekend we learn that Brendon Morrow, our Captain and William Wallace imitator, has a torn ACL and he's done for the year.
So, play on lads!! KSerg....... I will miss our spirited debates.

Agreed the Moore hit was legit. Bertuzzi should have been suspended for life. For all the good trades/drafts/signings Ken Holland has done for the Red Wings, it's still an absolute disgrace that he traded for Bertuzzi. I was actually rooting against the Wings that season after the trade, as imho, Bertuzzi's actions are the antithesis of what the tradition of the Wings franchise stands for.
The Downey hit was egregious because he left his feet the way he did. It seemed like definite intent to injure imho.
