NHL PLayoffs 2009

WAS THAT A SHORTHANDED GOAL OR WHAT......GAGNE!!!!!!

EDIT: Sorry for tha yellin....About 30 seconds before Gagne's goal was scored....I said that the Flyers needed to score an SH goal....so Yeah....pretty intense playoff hockey. I was wondering when the Flyers would come out to play.

Great job through 2 periods.

I kind of laughed when I saw that goal. It just seems that when the Penguins do great no one can stop them, but when they're doing bad they look like idiots.

Just as soon as I typed this Malkin just scored a PP goal.

Blackhawks up 2 games to 0 over Calgary.

there is a comercial that is aired on TV for the playoffs that shows a lot of players looking up at the clock... they all have the "playoff look" on their faces - that ragged, haven't slept in two weeks, bloodied, scarred, unshaven, haggered look. It is what 6 weeks of playoff hockey does to these guys. It is what hockey is all about - there is no sport where you can see how hard the players play like hockey.

Flyers looked good today. I hope they go far in the playoffs. It will be interesting to see how Mike Richards looks after 6 weeks and 29 minutes a game. He's young but...

GO FLYERS Flyers in 6

Mike Richards is a fantastic player. Got to watch him play for the local junior team and he stood out big time.

I am still calling Jersey for the cup, although the Hawks look great and they have a very proven goalie that is at the top of his game again.

Gonna be tight in the east for sure.

Bruins, NJ, Pitts and Canes are all tough teams. Washington, albeit a high scoring club, are too soft. The Rangers will go as far as Henry will take them.

The west? Man, who knows!

Chicago are a great young team, SJ is expected to do well but history is NOT on their side. Vancouver has the goalie (and half the Swedish national team) and then there is Detroit.

Way to early to predict a final but a nice one would be Boston's size vs Detroit's skill.

Or, Pitts vs Chicago for sheer speed and skill.

Really? Got Jersey going all the way?

I've got 'em going two rounds... but had the Red Wings going all the way.

Jersey's looking good this time around, however, we're good up until OT before we look like hell.

Since I'm from California where we have no real teams I'm either for the Blackhawks or the king of teams the Canadaiens. and yes, I know I spelled it wrong. There's this one story about my brother in law cutting me off from his Ducks tickets as I was too rude...............Go Eric Weinrich!!

At least you guys played a much better game than the first one. Anaheim's PK is killing you.

You also drew the hardest 1-8 match up ever.

Aj

Watching Anaheim take one stupid penalty after another (as Anaheim is prone to do) and not being able to capitalize is frustrating beyond words. Not to mention making Hiller look like Patrick Roy. :hmm:

Positives were that we actually scored () and we generated more speed and more chances than in game 1. Probably too little too late though.
