NHL Regular Season 2017-18

The best thing about Winnipeg, they lost their team due to financial/business reasons, and not because of fan support (they are now the Coyotes, btw... how’d that financial thing work out for ya? Lol) and when the Thrashers collapsed and the team got moved to Winnipeg (and kudos to the owners for re-naming them the Jets, like they had any choice, lol) the city embraced them like they never left. Passionate to the core.
Watch the first home game there this series, it’s crazy, they might not have the whole schtick that Nashville fans have, but the ‘Whiteout’ is more than impressive.

Speaking of which... can the Coyotes just fold and move to QC, the league would make soooo much money off of that.

True North Entertainment paid a large sum for the Jets name. The old guys still owned the copyrights.
Why ridiculous? No more so than Leafs fans. No more than NBA, NFL fans in USA. Just a smaller market by a long margin, a demographic that is mainly still wasps that grew up with long winters, with community arena as a social gathering point. So, we have a higher percentage of interested people in the market here, with an arena thats half the size of most others in the league. It seems to me that the Nashville fans are just as nuts; in a much larger arena. Its deafening in Winnipeg just because of the size and its always at capacity. They didn't even have to change streets when they built it. It is one Winnipeg block exactly.
Wierd how fellas that live where they don’t even have real snow and where hockey isn't part of the lifestyle from birth are making these types of comments that have nothing to do with the sport. Not offensive, just really, truly odd.

I thought everything I said was pretty much complimentary of Winnipeg.

Its fear they are hiding. Like if Jets can play that bad and win 4-1 against the Presidents cup winner, they gotta be bustin a sweat.
Boston’s top line, just like their last Game 1. But we saw where that went.

I'm honestly not to sure what to make of that game. There were a couple odd moments. And I don't get the sense that the B's dominated that game as much as the score implied. I'm sure tampa was tired from all those days off. Its great seeing Nash and Marchand get going. Krejci also had a very solid game and was doing wayyy more than he has the past few months. Debrusk had a great defensive shift where he left it all out on the ice while under some pretty significant pain. If that second line gets cooking, watch out. I expect Tampa to come back stronger Monday.
Please God, for the love of all that is good, let the Bs lose so we are not subjected to this clown any more. Why the Bs would allow him to wear a Stanley Cup ring says a lot about why they are so rightly held in contempt. How can the team of Bobby Orr (greatest player of all times) sink to this level.

Yeah, I don’t like him either. But he’s been a fixture at the Gahhhhden for four decades; you can denigrate that all you like, but it’s a significant chunk of time for any organization.
It’s not 1967 anymore. For better or for worse, when teams win championships now, nearly EVERY employee gets the opportunity to buy a ring. The owners can buy copies for whomever they feel has contributed to the team’s success. His significance doesn’t meet your definition of “contribution” (mine either), but we’re not there everyday.
Sorry; I don’t mean that to come off as dismissive, but the whining gets old. Get over it. He won’t be here next year, and nobody’s forcing you to listen to him this year.
Its funny, my son gets legit sad when Rene doesnt sing (he's 4) and refers to the anthem as the Bruins song, despite knowing all the words.
Fun side note, he was born at puck drop of game 7 when they beat the leafs in ot back in 2013. We made it to the hospital room in time to watch bergeron win it. Local radio station did a mashup promo of that game and he requests it every morning I drop him off at school "of the night i was born."
