Maybe Boston has come across the team that is going to play harder, all the time, than they do. I never thought I'd see it, but Columbus is doing it.

As a Lightning fan, my daughter can't forgive CBJ for eliminating the Bolts. I, too, am a 'Ning fan, but they beat themselves IMO.Maybe Boston has come across the team that is going to play harder, all the time, than they do. I never thought I'd see it, but Columbus is doing it.

I knew they were going to win when I heard Wilbon say the Jackets were going to be 0 - 3 after tonight.
What a moron.
I don't go to ESPN for my NHL talk, since they have virtually none.Buddy, just stick around here for your NHL talk.

C'bus is flat-out beating the snot out of the Bruins. I don't think - I hope - that the Bostons won't have anything left physically to come back in the series. Especially now that the off days will be coming less often and recovery times coming shorter. The first round sweep was a huge benefit to CBJ, despite the rust in the first game, and the 7 game series a drag on the Bruins.Maybe Boston has come across the team that is going to play harder, all the time, than they do. I never thought I'd see it, but Columbus is doing it.

Agree. He's a classless punk and ought to get a suspension, but prolly won't.Some things never change. Despite being a good citizen most of the time lately, this kind of stuff is totally unnecessary and classless. Punching a guy in the back of the head while he's down on the ice.

Opinion: Given Brad Marchand's history, he deserves a suspension for cheap shot
Yes, that is absurd. Karma would be the Sharks being bounced because of a bad call late in the deciding game, allowing the opponent to score the GWG!I had a thought last night that as much as I want to watch the Sharks lose and never win a cup and keep Sharking out in the playoffs forever, the more rational part of me realized that the only way that I am going to get over that ridiculous Eakin penalty that sparked the total collapse of the Knights inevitable 2019 Stanley Cup victory conquest is for the Sharks to see it to the end and actually win the cup. Therefore, even the tiny 8 year old little boy hockey fan in the corner of my brain could finally stop punching and kicking and screaming "they got screwed!!!" and would have to accept that the Sharks were in fact the better team this year. So do I have to root for the Sharks now just to get closure?
Of course not. That whole premise is absurd. Vegas would have only played 12 more games before planning the parade.
I guess that's why we care. Not because we think we should, but because we do.
