NHL Season 2018-19

I thought that was Wayne Gretzky who said that.
As a hockey fan, there are few things more maddening than watching your team practice passing drills all night, especially during a power play.

-Mike
You wouldn't be referring to a certain team that wears black and gold and got swept in the first round, would you? :D

Well, St Louis won another road game to force a game 7 with Dallas. Stars played like CBJ did yesterday...lifeless and very little coherency. I was hoping they could have closed out the series today at home.

"100% of the shots you don't take, don't go in".-Bill Nyrop
I thought that was Gretzky's quote, too. But I just had to look it up...some credit #99 while others credit Michael Jordan, and some sources say it was around long before those two. Regardless, it's 100% true!

FWIW...Nyrop's stats...twelve NHL goals over a four-year career. Funny, I remember him (vaguely) but thought he had a longer stint in the NHL than that.

He was the coach of a minor league(ECHL?)team in West Palm Beach[Palm Beach Blaze-Fire on Ice] around '92 when I heard the quote.

Just read this over the weekend. It was amusing, but probably could have been 50 pages shorter. It's pretty much a treatise on the torturous of being a Canadiens fan in that every season is a failure because the didn't win the cup again. Cry me a river, mon Habitanes. It did have some interesting examinations of fighting in hockey.

It's not so hard to win a gazillion cups when you're in a six team league. Although that '77 team was pretty good.
