I'm new to pedalboards: Why do people like these over hook & loop setups like Pedal Train? The PT way seems pretty easy to layout; also the angled ones look like they're a little higher up and could better fit power bricks underneath.

Does the velcro eventually wear out and need replacement?

Velcro does not hold pedals in a way I find pleasing and it gets messy over time. I much prefer 3M Dual-Lock strips over velcro for that type of solution.

My discovery of Temple's Quick-Release system was love at first sight, not only for the replacement of velcro, but for the modular side panels and accessories.

I'm brainstorming about some kind of breadboard-inspired system. The first problem is that these interconnects must be shielded.

I finally got the cash together for my duo 17! Couldn't help but spring for the custom color
I decided to keep my patch cables up top to keep them separate from the power cables. I'm paranoid in live situations, so if something goes wrong I like to be able to see everything.

Most of the mini-size pedals will fit along the underside of the board near the back. You can see where I've mounted the CS7 (right side of the H9), my Octave pedal (left side of H9) and my Micro Thumpinator (right side of pitchblack)

i saw nathan navarro's board and then saw this thread and had to check it out...i love my schmidt array board, and it's never going anywhere, but if for some reason i needed another board, i just might have to check these out...dang, nice

I got it. Just didn't believe those tiny nuts would hold it.

I still need to go through and check each cable, but all in all this was pretty easy to set up. I added my ditto to this one and ran out of power, so a trip to long and McQuade and 210 later I added a strymon.

So I started another thread but I wanted to post my Bass/acoustic guitar temple board here. Still a work in progress as I am waiting for a Broughton parametric eq to finish the board and then start the wiring process. The sound with my bergantino ip is outstanding!

First iteration for my Duo 17.

I really liked the board and the plates' system - keeps things neat and tidy in exchange for a bit of planning. Now I just need to get some standoffs, they will be useful to place devices below the board.

I did have some flaking problems (the black coating peeling off) when using tape to test different layouts, but I guess that's my fault (consider yourselves warned if you use velcro on this board).

The layout is pretty loose for now - I'm waiting for a Fdeck HPF and the MVTD will probably go (I'm trying but I can't seem to fall in love with it). I'll try a small clean booster instead. Cable management is still pending.

Random question. Has anyone had any issues with a ground loop when using the 4-way jack patch? specifically when using one of the jacks as an input

I didn’t use the 4 way jack as you have to modify it. So this is the route I went.
