NPD DSM Noisemaker OmniCabSim

You buy one by going here:
OmniCabSim Tweakable Cabinet Simulator – DSM Noisemaker

and clicking "buy now" and then you record your clean tone through it, post a video, and hopefully then we all buy one. ;)

i am hovering over that very button.

but common sense tells me to wait for a response from Dsmnoisemaker about my "situation".

if i get a even just a little bit of that warm and fuzzy, i will buy one immediately.

i KNEW if i searched TB long enough i'd find a great cab sim product.

so here's my sitch:

all my basses have onboard preamps: J-Retro, Aguilar OBP2, Aguilar OBP3 and LBAGGS.

my current amp is a Yamaha DSR-115 powered monitor (1300 watts) . Sometimes i'll use a GT-100 for the cabinet sims - GT-100 preamp setting is either custom/off, natural, full range...
i like the way my onboard preamps sound, but a DECENT cab sim would be great. While the GT-100 is pretty good, i think this pedal can do a lot better.

this pedal looks great.

thoughts. opinions? oh, i do NOT use any kind of overdrive. clean for me.

how do i buy one... NOW?!?!?!

thanks
fred
I'm thoroughly impressed with my OCS, so I highly recommend picking one up. I should also be able to post a clip after tonight's practice :)

ok then.

i just ordered it.

thanks SCB!
Hi Frederic i just received you order!..i read your post here and decided to make a short, simple clean bass demo to help you decide...but i see GAS was strong :)

Anyway, I'm now mixing the audio and video so you'll be convinced you made the right choice..it sounds pretty awesome imho..

OK, here we go!

please use good headphones or monitors

sorry for the crappy bass playing..:bassist:

For this i used an old cheap washburn bass i have lying around, into the OCS and then into the Audio Interface..the strings are pretty old, but the OCS brings them back!

note the extra clarity and definition, and the powerful but not muddy bass..

Hmmm... I've been listening to this (took out my "good" headphones :headphone:), and I think what I'm hearing is very specific EQ curves... Am I missing anything important...?
