NPD: SA Aftershock

Anyone have any tips on how to use the tap tempo with this?
I cant hep with hoe to get the best out of it, ive not done any programming yet, but i can say i used mine for the first time yesterday and it brought a huge grin to my face.
This might not be 100% correct, but you just plug it in to the socket on the back, push the switch next to the socket so that the small LED comes on, and it just works if the AS preset has both channels programmed to switch between themselves (or stacked one on the other).
Very, very cool feature.

I literally answered this on Saturday, on the last page.
I use it to: 1) run dual channels, switch between channel A & B (essentially two effects switching back and forth) or 2) same idea, but significant changes in the setting of the same engine, so switching between extremes or 3) running in parallel use it as an on/off switch of A running into B. Channel A becomes your dirty boost or layered dirt option.
Essentially use it for switching things in the dual channel feature set of the pedal.

Looking more at the how than they why. Am I using the 3.5 to 3.5 to control this? I looked at both the manuals for the tap tempo and the aftershock and for some reason can't quite figure out how to use it properly.

Ah, yes I saw that. I am looking for more technical explanations of all the options in neuro and how they feed into the TT. I guess I will see if the SA guy responds, I sent him a message as well. No YouTube tutorials to be found.

It is all in the Neuro app. Go to hardware settings and turn on using control input for switching.
Use the sound editor at the bottom to select latching or momentary.
Use the next selector for what you want to switch.
I am sure its in the Desktop Editor too, but I don't have that near me at the moment.

I don't know if I'm an idiot or not but when I use the desktop app, everything stays in momentary (regardless of if I set latch). On the android app, I can switch between 2 channels on the TT but one channel is muted. I don't know what the deal is here, what could I be doing wrong?

You can't switch between the toggle presets using the tap tempo switch. However, you can do the next best thing - treat each channel on each toggle preset as a mono preset of its own. Best way to do this:

STEP 1: I/O Routing Option = "Mono In, Stereo Process, Mono Out"
Normally, this processes both channels in parallel, and then sums them together for a mono output.

STEP 2: External Switch Control Option = "Channel Switch Left/Right"
This means that only one channel is on at a time, and your tap tempo switch will control which one it is.

Combine that with the I/O routing option above, and the result is that your Aftershock is running both channels simultaneously, but you only hear either one - never both. And voila - you have two mono presets! Set both channels to your liking and you're good to go. Repeat on the other toggle switch settings, and now you have three pairs of mono presets.

Please send a note to [email protected]. Those guys are better than me at the details!

Thanks everyone. Gonna try @JanusZarate suggestion and after that I'll try SA support if it still isn't going!

Edit: Tried that (I think I tried it last night as well) and for some reason when I hit the TT it mutes the channel until I mess with the clean blend. When I do that, it just restore the channel 1. I have reached out to support.

By the way, I just looked at the Neuro Desktop Editor. You are right!! All of the controls for dealing with the external switch are not there like they are in the Neuro Mobile App.

EDIT: It is there. Its just in a different section. I missed it. Look under "I/O Routings and Control Options" Sorry about that.

would LOVE a YT walkthrough of all the Aftershock parameters to clarify and suggest uses for the knob assigns, routings, etc.; haven't been able to get familiar enough.

Not quit YT, but I hope this will be helpful!! Sorry, it is not easier to find on our new website. We are working on that:
