NPD: SA Aftershock

I agree folks - always find myself resetting to stock :)

Got another Q - for the desktop Neuro app, how awesome would it be for the EQ to be visual?
I'd love to see a visual representation how the points are working
I suspect this would be a lot of work to code.... but that would be a really cool feature, especially when you're trying to cop a specific curve that exists.

Hey guys,

what would be the best way to control the amounts of clean lows mixed in the signal (like the new Darkglass X7 low pass or Damnation Audio loop blender)? Is it the clean high cut I should be using? For example, if I use two highly distorted engines and set the clean cut to 200 is everything under 200 hz clean?

Also, is there a way to run another distortion pedal into the Aftershock and still maintain a clean low end?

The clean high cut removes high frequencies from your blended clean tone. This is different from what you're thinking since it doesn't effect your distortion. However since you're cutting highs from your clean tone you can blend in more of your clean tone than you normally would without worrying about the treble frequencies of your clean blended tone sounding wierd on top of your distortion.

So in your scenario if you were to parallel process two high gain distortions, utilize the Clean High Cut to your taste, and experiment with the Clean Blend of each channel it could do what you need.

Any news on updates for the Aftershock?
Like asigning one knob to "blend" between two chosen drive engines? :)

What you describe is exactly the point of normal (green mode). What you see is what you get, always.
So, you want preset mode (red mode) to act like green mode so that you get 6 green mode presets. Right?
I just read back through the last 12 pages of this thread. Are these features above still in the works? Are they already features and I just don't know how to use them?

I don't think you can assign a knob to "blend". You could do it with an expression pedal by assigning output A and output B in opposite directions perhaps?

Red Mode and Green Mode were implemented either on the release of the pedal or soon after.

Hi, ive got a Disaster Area DPC-8ez. Say ive got about 5 Aftershock presets id like to use at different spots within my programmable switcher banks, do i need any other equipment other than my switcher and aftershock to make this happen? Or am i able to simply program the switcher to trigger on an Aftershock preset to any switcher position i want?
Sorry im a midi newby.

You will need the Neuro Hub between your midi controller and the Aftershock. You can save 128 presets this way.

Are you only looking to be able to toggle from ch1 to ch2, or do you need to actually shut a channel off within the pedal?

My understanding is you can only toggle between two presets using the TT as a footswitch in red mode. I guess switching back to green mode gives you a third sound using manual settings, but not a preset. To really delve into all the sounds you'd have to get into MIDI which is not the plan right now.

Ah sorry I misread your initial post. If you hold the stomp switch down it switches between red and green mode.

Honestly, I tried so hard to get this but came up short. I ended up selling my Aftershock and have recently ordered an X7.

The recipe is almost there but from memory you can't get the high pass or low pass to quite do the job right.

You can run mono in - parallel engines (one clean, one dirty) - mono out , turning down the low and low mid eq of the dirty, and turning down the high mid and treble of the clean but it's not set up to do the big low pass and high pass filtering you need.
